Topiary plants are easy to care for-they like bright windows or room and like to be water when they are dry. Over watering will turn the leaves yellow, causing the plant to dry out. Spider mites like ivy topiaries so it is really important to wash your plant down with an insecticidial soap. We make ours from our left over soap cuttings, but basically all you'll need to do is use dish detergent highly deluted - one part dish detergent and 4 parts water in a spray bottle. Spray it on the plant and let it stand for 15 minutes, then gently rinse off leaves. That will take care of any unwanted pest chewing on your beautiful plant. Try it- it works really well.
